Disabling networking - Win95
From within Windows 95 - click on Start, then Settings, then Control
Panel.
Open Network.
Click on the Network Interface Card, then click on Remove.
Allow Windows 95 to restart the computer for it to take effect.
Enable Peer-to-peer Networking - Win95
From within Windows 95 - click on Start, then Settings, then Control
Panel.
Allow Windows 95 to restart the computer for it to take effect.
Confirm it worked by opening Network Neighborhood: you should see other
computers on the network.
Configure your drive to be shareable - Win95
Open Explorer.
Select the hard drive or folder on the hard drive you want to share.
Click on File.
Click on Properties.
Select Tab called Sharing.
Click on Shared As.
Click on Add.
Share a drive on another PC - Win95
Open Explorer.
Click on Network Neighbourhood.
Click on Entire Network.
Click on workgroup.
Click on Computer.
Click on drive.
Enter password if there is one.
The drive doesn’t have to be mapped to a drive letter, except if you want
access to it from a DOS Window.
Configure your printer as shareable - Win95
From Toolbar, select Settings, Printers.
Click on your printer that you want to share.
Click on the Tab called Sharing.
Share a printer on another PC - Win95
From toolbar, go to Settings, Printers.
Choose Add Printer.
Select Network Printer in Add Printer Wizard.
Browse for printer queue. (Network computer that already has it’s printer
set up as shared).
